The city of Aden is experiencing rapid urban growth.

The expansion of higher education was one of the most important changes to this urban growth.

It came as an inevitable result for the development of the population size, and the growing demand for this type of education.

The study shows that the high concentration of higher education students in the internal structure of the city is evident, with an average of (71.6%) of the total students in the period 1988-2016, and less than the average percentage of studen ts in the functional region of the city (28.4%).

The study also shows that the population gap in higher education is also evident in the areas of the internal structure of the city of Aden (68.5), and the enrollment rate in education is low (31.5%).

It also appears that the functional region of higher education for the city of Aden for the year 2015/2016 extends to large areas.

It consists of 18 governorates out of a total 22 governorates in Yemen.

This reflects the extent of its great influence.

It is clear that there is an effect of the distance factor on the number of students.

The number of students increases near the city, and their number decreases as they move away from it, and the population size variable had no effect on increasing or decreasing that number of students.
