Abstract EN

The study dealt with diversity management in Darfur sultanate at Ali Dinar era.

The study aimed at clarifying the fact that Sultan Ali Dinar was the Sultan of Whole Darfur, not sultan of Fur , that his coronation was done by Darfur tribal leaders coming back from Omdurman after the decline of Mahdist state.

Also, Ali Dinar considered the community diversity of Darfur as references in forming his government.

The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach.

And the significance of the study explained the sultanate that established in Darfur from 1899-1916 is Darfur sultanate not Fur sultanate , It was depended on ethnic diversity in selection of sultan , government and army commanders.

The study concluded that sultan Ali Dinar was inaugurate as sultan for pan-Darfur by tribe leaders who fled from Omdurman after Karari battle.

Also his executive government and army commanders are formed from community references that included all Darfurians community spectrum, which reflects sultan advanced awareness of state construction, standing on unity and diversity which contributed in forming the polities identity of sultanate .

The study recommended that the diversity management and the expansion of participation base is crucial in justice achivement,solidarity, and stability of the state , whereas, fanaticism to tribe or doctrine lead to conflict , rivalry and discord .
