The aim of this study is to present a new analytical strategic vision for the Mamluk policy towards Sudan that deals with an important and long period of the history of the Mamluks and their relationship with the Sudan of the Nile Valley spanning about six centuries, which began by launching a series of military campaigns on the Christian Nubian Kingdom from the beginning of their control of power in Egypt succeeded to To some extent, the security and political fence of the Nubian kingdom was weakened and its decision-making centers were reached.

Then, a second stage began with the demise of their authority in Egypt, with the appearance of Muhammad Ali as governor of Egypt by the Ottoman Sultanate in the year 1805 AD, and their flight to the south and their attempt to revive the idea of building a state in Sudan.

The study relied on the historical, descriptive, and analytical method and reached several results, the most importa n t of which is that the Mamluks did not succeed despite their serious and continuous endeavor\ to achieve their full strategic and political goals in Sudan.
