عوامل تحسن أداء الطلبة الأردنيين على دراسة البرنامج الدولي لتقييم الطلبة (PISA)‎ من وجهة نظر المعنيين في الأردن

Abstract EN

This study is extracted from thesis, identifies the factors contributing to the improvement of the performance of Jordanian students in the PISA 2018, which included factors related to the policies of the Ministry of Education, schools and the surrounding environment, the teacher, the student, and the curriculum.

In addition, it investigates the differences between the mean scores for the estimations of the study sample towards the factors that led to the improvement that could be attributed to the variables of the nature of work and the years of experience.

For the purpose of this study, a self-completed questionnaire was employed.

The study sample consisted of (89) participants.

The results of the study showed that the overall level of the respondents’ perspectives, towards the factors contributing to the improvement of the performance of Jordanian students in the PISA 2018, is at a high level, with the domain of factors related to curriculum occupying the first rank, while the other domains were ranked respectively as following: the policies of the Ministry of Education, factors related to the teacher, factors related to the student, and in the fifth and last rank the factors related Schools and the surrounding environment.

The results revealed a statistically significant differences between mean scores of the respondents that could be attribute to the variable of the nature of work, and in favor of the educational supervisors, whereas the results revealed no statistical significant differences that could be attributed to the variable of years of experience.

Based on the results of the study, a number of recommendations were suggested, among which are the necessity of enhancing the school administrations, interest in international tests, in particular the PISA.
