Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the development of electronic payment operations during the Corona pandemic at the global level in general and at the level of the study scope, which is Jordan and the region in which it is located in particular.

The importance of this study emerges from the fact that it sheds light on an important and sensitive issue in human life that it is difficult for him to dispense with, which is the commercial and financial transactions and exchanges.

What increases the importance of the topic is its connection to the largest pandemic that afflicts humanity in the modern era, which is the spread of this virus that has killed millions of people around the world.

In order to achieve its goals, the study used the exploratory- reconnaissance approach, in addition to the descriptive analytical approach, where the reality of the situation was surveyed and explored with regard to how electronic payment operations developed with its various tools and mechanisms, by referring to the official sources and reports and extracting information from them and sequentially; Beginning with the general and then the private, where the reality of electronic payment operations around the world was presented, then in the region and then in the study area (Jordan).

The problem of the study centered on the great change caused by the Corona pandemic in the banking and financial system for individuals and institutions, in terms of changing the concepts of payment, its mechanisms and tools, and the extent to which the fear and panic that afflicted humans from this epidemic contributed to the development of their ideas and cultures on many topics that had not previously occurred to them.
