Modern technological development has spawned new interaction spaces that were not known before due to technological developments, which are represented in social networking sites, where they eliminated many barriers, brought distances closer, and transformed reality into a circle full of daily developments by keeping pace with events and following up on news as they occur.

there has become a special pattern of using these sites that entered social life and extended from public relations to personal relationships such as family relations and even relations of friendship, thus forming a new pattern different from the real social relations, which is a virtual relation.

Arab and western societies are witnessing within their evolutionary process a new transformation due to their openness to modern communication technology, and their adoption of that great means of interaction and social communication, which allowed them to shorten distances and time and reduce costs.

participation in social networking sites opened up digital virtual areas for users that allowed them to form a network of relationships with others with virtual identities, whether they knew them in reality or no, and communication and interaction takes place between them through the exchange of messages, chats, posts and comments, on the other hand, a significant increase in the severity of the complexities that affected the pattern of social relations was recorded, which translated to the users a new pattern and new data in social life, especially at the level of social relations, thus creating a pattern called virtual relationships.
