The Corona pandemic crisis has been the subject of national and international public opinion, which prompted countries, whether large or small, to take punitive and penal measures to reduce and mitigate the spread of crime and work to besiege it to deter perpetrators of crimes during the pandemic period.

In this regard, the state has worked on enacting a set of laws and adopting international agreements to curb crime that has become widespread, with the declaration of a state of health emergency, imposing temporary restrictions on people’s residence in their homes, limiting their movement, and closing shops and companies, which prompted the cessation of work and the exacerbation of crime of all kinds.
