Abstract EN

This study deals with the phenomenon of returning to the Semitic origin in contemporary Arabic dialects.

Referring to the rules of Semitic languages, it becomes clear that many of the dialectical manifestations in which they violated the classical Arabic vernaculars are rules or aspects that were used in Semitic languages before Arabic.

This study aims to identify the phenomenon of repercussion to the Semitic origins in contemporary colloquialisms by clarifying the manifestations in which the apostasy is manifested, the reasons that led to it and the paths taken by the Semitic manifestations to the colloquial ones.

Using the descriptive approach and the comparative approach, the study concluded with some results, the most important of which is that the manifestations of reversion to the Semitic origin included the four language levels: phonetic, morphological, grammatical and semantic, and that the ancient Arabic dialects preceded contemporary dialects in the tendency to Semitic origins in some aspects.
