Abstract EN

The study dealt with the phenomenon of phonemic similarity in the Omdurman and Shuwa Arabic dialects, a comparative study, and it attempts to answer the following question: What is the function performed by similarity in the two dialects? Its importance in studying changes in sounds to find out the similarities and differences in the two dialects.

The study used the descriptive and comparative approach by describing the phenomenon of phonemic analogy and then comparing it.

The interview and observation tools were used to collect information and data, and dealt with them in four axes: The first axis dealt with a definition Phonetic similarity, and the second axis phonetic similarity in the Omdurman dialect, the third axis: phonetic similarity in the Shuwa Arabic dialect, and as for the fourth axis, a comparison was made between the two dialects to find out the similarities and differences.

The words, in order to obtain a kind of compatibility and harmony between the sounds, the paper recommended conducting descriptive studies of the levels of the dialect and its sound phenomena in the brain.
