Abstract EN

The study aims to introduce the basic concepts developed for foreign trade, study the indicators of foreign trade between the Republic of Yemen and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, study the current status of the trade balance, study the development of the degree of economic exposure of Yemen to the Gulf market, and study the future indicators of foreign trade between the Republic of Yemen and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The study used the descriptive analytical method, the quantitative method, the inductive method, the comparative method, and the historical method.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which is that the annual average of trade exchange between the Republic of Yemen and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries amounted to about 1111 billion Yemeni riyals during the study, with a relative importance of 22.4% on average Of the total total trade exchange for Yemen during the same period, and we focus the volume of trade exchange between the Republic of Yemen and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in two main countries, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a percentage of 93% of the volume of trade exchange between the Republic of Yemen and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the rest of the percentage for the rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The study recommended accelerating the adoption of policies and measures to increase the level of trade exchange between the Republic of Yemen and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, facing the obstacles that prevent the deepening of those relations, and working to enhance the role of Yemeni exports and their development in a manner that enhances the role of the trade balance in the Yemeni economy, and encourages local production in place of imported goods to reduce deficit in trade balance
