Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify the impact of cultural awareness on the Arabic language in official communications from the point of view of workers in the Greater Ma'an Municipality.

The research used the descriptive analytical method, and the research sample consisted of (72) male and female workers working in the Greater Ma'an Municipality.

The results of the research showed an impact of cultural awareness on the Arabic language in official communications from the viewpoint of workers in the municipality, and it was found that there is an effect of the global culture dimension, the national culture dimension, and the Arab and Islamic culture dimension.

The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of perceptions of the study sample members towards the impact of cultural awareness on the Arabic language in official communications from the viewpoint of workers in the Greater Ma’an Municipality due to gender and academic qualification, and there were differences in the perceptions of the study sample members towards the impact of cultural awareness on The Arabic language in official correspondence from the point of view of workers in the Greater Ma’an Municipality between those with experience (less than 5 years) and among those with experience (more than 15) and in favor of those with higher experience (more than 15.)Based on the results of the research, the researcher recommended promoting the use of the classical Arabic language in official communications and adopting it as a condition for considering any official speech, whether from the institution to employees or vice versa, or from one institution to another.

And the need for institutions to establish training courses in employing the classical Arabic language in official communications and urging its use in all communications.
