Abstract EN

Bayad and Riyad is a love story from the thirteenth century between a young man from Damascus and an Andalusian slave girl in the palace of the Vizier.

Both were gathered by the daughter of the vizier in a singing party.

They exchanged poems of love and passion.

They were inflicted by pain of lovers due to separation caused by announcing their love.

This study examines the influence of the Oriental literature on Andalusian literature, This study was divided into a preface, an introductory chapter.

also explains the story style, its language, its similarity to style of narratives in the Arab Oriental literature, the impact of decent love poetry on its events and characters.

The study also explains that the style of the story is similar to Maqammat Literature.

The study clarifies the techniques of the literary dialogue, the study ends up with conclusions.
