Abstract EN

The study aimed to investigate the role of social media platforms in strengthening the contents of news programs from the Palestinian point view.

To achieve the purpose of the study, the researcher followed the quantitative and qualitative approaches.

The researcher also used the questionnaire and interview tools.

The sample of the study consists of 133 Palestinian media professionals, and the study was based on the Agenda theory.

The study revealed the following results, the most important one of which is the great interest of Palestinian media professionals in using social media platforms in news programs, and allocating the topics of their programs on what is published through these platforms.

It also recommended organizing specialized courses in media to deal with social media sites and tools to achieve the reality of the published material.

It also recommended adding media courses that focus on using social media in the college of media in the Palestinian Universities.
