English Abstract

This research aims to identify recent trends in teaching the Arabic language, as the history of language teaching and learning witnessed the emergence of several methods which, each of them relied on one or more of the dominant linguistic sects, and it is well known that any linguistic sect means a linguistic theory that attempts to shed light on the nature of language.

And the theory of learning, which the adherents of the sect see as the most suitable for learning and teaching the language, and the most prominent linguistic theories that have spread in recent times, the structural theory and the development that took place in it, generative transformational theory.

The multiplicity of language teaching methods does not mean that each has its own sect, as it has been shown that more than one method can be linked to one or more sects, and in different proportions.

the modern method is not based on a specific theory.

Rather, it tries to benefit from the various advantages of the previous methods, as they benefit from the translation method, the direct method, the audio-oral method, and the communicative method.

The emergence of modern educational theories in teaching made it necessary to adopt an effective and influential educational system to keep pace with any recent developments in teaching.

to prepare a learner with the qualities and characteristics that would enable him to overcome any challenges, these characteristics must exceed the limits of knowledge, to reach a stage where the learner possessing learning skills, thinking skills, and solving various problems, the entire educational process will not achieve its goals with traditional education and traditional teacher.

Rather, educators must adopt new approaches to teaching, especially in the Arabic language, which depend on the activity of the learner, his effectiveness, and his vitality.

At the end of the last century, active learning emerged as an educational system that activates the learning and teaching processes, activates the learner, and makes him a positive and active participant in the educational process, which pushes the wheel of learning towards achieving its goals is that the student works and thinks about what he is doing, to be self-reliant in making decisions and practicing the necessary things for a change, development, and evaluation.

As the main objective of the active learning path, lies in helping the learner to acquire a set of skills, knowledge, ways, principles, and values and use them in different life situations, in addition to the development of modern learning strategies that give the learner independence in learning and responsibility, as explained earlier, the current research is divided into two topics: The first topic: the reality of teaching Arabic in educational institutions.

The second topic: modern ways in the teaching of the Arabic language.
