Abstract EN

Physical abuse is physical violence directed at children.

The current research aims to build a scale of university students’ attitudes towards physical abuse of children and measure it among university students and identify the differences in it according to the variables of gender and academic specialization.

The research sample consisted of (100) male and female students, distributed in the scientific and humanitarian disciplines.

The researcher built a scale of university students' attitudes towards physical abuse of children, and it consisted of (20) items.

The results showed that university students have positive attitudes towards physical abuse of children and that these attitudes are more positive for males than for females, and that there are no differences in attitudes towards physical abuse of children according to the variable of academic specialization.
