Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify: 1- Environmental culture for chemistry teachers.

2- The statistically significant differences in awareness of environmental culture, according to the gender variable (males, females) and years of service (less than 15 years, more than 15 years).

3- Teaching practices of chemistry teachers.

4- Statistically significant differences in teaching practices according to the gender variable (males and females) and years of service (less than 15 years, more than 15 years).

5- The correlation between the environmental culture and the teaching practices of chemistry teachers.

In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher adopted the descriptive research method, and the research community was identified and his sample was chosen from chemistry teachers in the intermediate, middle and high schools of the General Directorate of Education for Al-Qadisiyah for the academic year (2020-2021 AD), and the research sample consisted of (400) teachers and a school of chemistry and by the fact ( 187) teachers, and (213) female teachers.

The Environmental Culture Scale was constructed consisting of (48) items.

And building the teaching practices scale consisting of (40) paragraphs, and after verifying the psychometric properties, the two scales were applied to the research sample, and the results showed the presence of a high environmental culture.

Weak teaching practices among chemistry teachers.

Teaching practices are not affected by the gender variable, and are affected by the variable of years of service, and for the benefit of chemistry teachers who have years of service (more than 15 years), and there is a direct relationship between environmental culture and the teaching practices of chemistry teachers.

In light of these results, the researcher put forward a set of recommendations and proposals.
