Abstract EN

The study aimed to examine the extent to which emotional sensitivity contributes to self-acceptance among female teachers in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate.

The study sample consisted of (665) married teachers.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the following tools were used: the first is the emotional sensitivity scale (Al-Atabi, 2016), and the second is a measure of self-acceptance from (Carol Ryff's psychological happiness scale).

The results of the study showed that the emotional effectiveness was modest, but the risk of responding to feeling it was high while the level of the universe was high.

The correlation calculation in the multiple regression analysis between the variables also showed a positive, statistically significant relationship between self-acceptance and emotional sensitivity, where emotional sensitivity can explain (17.3%) of the variance in self-acceptance.

Self-acceptance can also be predicted through two dimensions of emotional sensitivity, namely, response by action and response by feeling.

The study recommended educating husbands and wives about the importance of emotional communication.

Counseling programs benefit from the average predictive relationship of emotional sensitivity to self-acceptance.
