فاعلية استراتيجية الرحلات المعرفية عبر الويب (WebQuests)‎ في تنمية التفكير التأملي لدى طلبة الصف الخامس الأساسي

Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of (WebQuests) Strategy In improving Reflective Thinking of the fifth grade students، and to achieve the objectives of the study، the researchers prepared two Instruments for data collection، the reflective thinking test، and semi-structured interviews.

The study sample consisted of (44) students from the fifth grade students in a public school in Qatar، they were chosen by the available method، where they were divided into two groups، the first experimental group which is consisted of (22) students and was taught Geometric measurement unit using the WebQuests Strategy via the web.

The second، a control group which is consisted of (22) students and was taught the same unit using the usual way.

After verifying the validity and reliability of the study Instruments، they were applied to the study sample.

The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences (α = 0.05) between the average of the performance of the students in both experimental and control groups in the post application the reflective thinking test as a whole and in each of its skills.

the results of the study also showed a set of main axes، which represented the pros and cons of using WebQuests Strategy in improving students learning of mathematics، which are: making students feel positive، reducing the time spent solving mathematical exercises، and transferring the impact of learning، and the students' self-evaluation، and the use of the strategy in teaching different units.

The study made several recommendations، the most prominent of which are: Employing the strategy of WebQuests Strategy in teaching mathematics to fifth grade students
