Abstract EN

Prober thinking is one of the patterns of thinking that has been associated with the cognitive trend, and the literature and studies have indicated its importance, as it depends on the concepts of the cognitive structure and cognitive representations.

It is taught to him, as the student determines his level of thinking on the basis of the stage he is going through, and therefore it is necessary to reveal the developmental level that the student is going through, so that the teacher can determine the appropriate experience for the student’s level of thinking.

Prober thinking is defined as a mental process through which the individual can process information in a refined manner, understand it, form it, assimilate it, acquire it, integrate it into knowledge structures and retrieve it easily when needed.

Among the theories that have explained Prober thinking are Gestalt theory, cognitive theory, and behavioral theory.

Proper thinking requires several complex and sophisticated mental processes such as attention, perception, organization, recall of stored experiences, linking new experiences, coding experience, recording experience, assimilation and internalization of experience, and integrating experience with structure.

Probing thinking includes main and sub-skills, which are (the skill of understanding the concept, which includes the skill of enumeration, remembering, classification and naming, and the skill of interpreting information, which includes the skill of identifying the main relationships, discovering new relationships and reaching inferences, and the skill of applying principles, which includes the skill of predicting results, explaining predictions, ascertaining and verifying predictions).
