This paper seeks to identify the role of green bonds in supporting and financing the transition to a green economy, and for that we followed the descriptive analytical approach, by reviewing the conceptual framework of the green economy, the conceptual framework of green bonds, as well as the global trend towards green bonds, experiences Some Arab countries in the field of green bonds.

Where this study deals with the definition of the green economy and its development, the requirements and benefits of the transition towards a green economy.

On the other hand, this study dealt with the definition of the concept of green bonds and their fields, the steps for issuing green bonds, and the challenges facing green bonds.

This study also provided an analysis of the global trend towards green bonds.

In addition, this study examined the experiences of some Arab countries in financing their transition to a green economy through green bonds.

The study concluded a number of proposed results and recommendations.
