Preserving the judicial archive is among the most important challenges facing the ministry of justice at the present time due to a number of reasons, the most important of which are the massive accumulation of assets since independence, and the diversity of archival containers, especially with the emergence of new containers that the archivist has not dealt with before, as well as the absence of a place for temporary preservation.

this is what made the judiciary archive different in terms of its organizational structure in managing archival funds.

the Algerian state has given the archive sector great importance and has established this importance with legal texts in order to increase it more formal and serious, considering the archive as the official reference that preserves memories and values the peoples’ past.
