Language is one of the most important materials on which Algerian playwrights relied, in fortifying the self and preserving the national identity from obliteration and alienation.

on the national identity from disappearance and oblivion, as came the employment of folk and fairy tales in their works with the exploits and heroisms of the Algerian people, to be circulated among members of society as a vital material of folklore, preserving the privacy of members of society and contributing to the immunization of self from alienation.
