The festival theater is associated with a group of human and civilizational dimensions, and its leaders sought to incorporate and materialize these dimensions through their theatrical texts as an attempt to rebel against the traditional classics in the Aristotelian theater.

so, what is the nature of these dimensions that festival theater’s leaders wanted to achieve? this problematic leads us to tackle the evolution of the festival theater and the importance of the above-mentioned dimensions as a joint product in the course of reaching an Arab festival theater.

the answer may be found by tracking the festival theater’s development stages.

the aim of this study is to uncover the most important objectives drawn by this movement of theater, learn about the major stages of its development and its relationship with the pre-mentioned dimensions, and to bring to light the pillars and the origins of the Arab festival theater.
