Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to examine the real practice of the Algerian university of its social responsibility towards society.

Achieving this scientific intent, the study used the analytical descriptive approach through the previous theoritical literature on social responsibility of university organizations in general, and defining the contemporary challenges that await them, as well as the requirements for their development.

Study results: In general, the study concluded that the Algerian university's practice of its social responsibility towards society is still far from that practiced by Western universities for a set of obstacles and challenges of its own surrounding.
