Abstract EN
Muslim scholars used to pay great care and attention to the Noble Qur’an and its sciences; this manifested itself in their overall care in the interpretation of the verses of rulings and the clarification of their purposes.
Given the importance of this type of Qur’anic studies, the aim of this study is to identify the verses of rulings concerning masjid (mosque) and to clarify their Qur’anic intents of these rulings.
The findings of this research indicate that the Quranic rulings on masjid are seven cited in eleven verses of the Qur’an, while those relating to al-masjid al- harām (the holy masjid in Makkah) are four cited in fifteen verses.
Regarding the Qur’anic intents of these rulings, it has been found that there are five main purposes as follows: monotheism, exalting the masjid, glorifying Allah, strengthening the ties of the Islamic community, and educating the Muslim personality.
The study concludes with a number of recommendations.
