تناولت هذه الدراسة محاولات بعض الدارسين المعاصرين لتاريخ جنوب الجزيرة العربية في إثبات معرفة زواج المشاركة، وتعدد الأزواج للمرأة، وممارسته في جنوب الجزيرة العربية-اليمن قديما- معتمدين على الروايات الكلاسيكية وعلى مجموعة صغيرة من النقوش اعتقدوا فيها -بما يوحي بطريقة غير مباشرة-ممارسة هذا النوع من النكاح ولو بصورة محدودة، واعترافهم الكامل بسيادة الزواج القائم على تعدد الأزواج للمرأة في اليمن، وقد تم تقسيم البحث إلى مقدمة وأربعة أقسام، ناقش القسم الأول مفهوم الزواج، وتطرق القسم الثاني إلى آراء الباحثين والدارسين، وتطرق القسم الثالث إلى النقوش المسندية، وتطرق القسم الرابع إلى الزواج في اليمن القديم، وتوصل البحث إلى عدد من النتائج، أهمها: أن المعطيات الأثرية والموروث اليمني لم تعطنا أي معلومات عن وجود مثل هذا الزواج، وأيضا عدم وجود نقوش فيها ذكر صريح لزواج المشاركة.
Abstract EN
This study contests the claim of some contemporary historians concerning the issue of polyandry and its practice in the South of the Arabian Peninsula, relying on classical narratives and on a small-scale inscriptions to support their claim of the common practice of this type of marriage in ancient Yemen.
The research was divided into an introduction and four sections which dealt with the concept of marriage, the opinions of researchers and scholars, the Musnad inscriptions, and marriage in ancient Yemen respectively.
The findings suggest that the archaeological data and the Yemeni heritage do not provide any explicit evidence on the practice of polyandry during the overall history of ancient Yemen.
