The aim of the research is to identify the Preferred learning patterns among students of the Department of Mathematics according to the (VARK) model and its relationship to their mathematical achievement.

The research sample consisted of (252) male and female students of the third stage in the Department of Mathematics at the College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Mosul for the academic year (2020).

The researcher adopted the VARK questionnaire prepared by Fleming & Bonwell (2002), which was developed by Jones (Johnes, 2004), and its alignment and translation by Al-Zaghal (2004), which consists of (13) items of a multiple-choice type with four Alternatives according to the approved learning styles (Visual, Auditory, Reading, Kinesthetic), Its validity and stability were also found and then programmed electronically according to Google models, and the learning style is defined as the method that the learner uses to acquire knowledge, as each learner has his own preferred style For mathematical achievement, The average grades of students for the specialized subjects in the annual quest for the third stage were also adopted as a criterion for mathematical achievement And after collecting and analyzing data statistically and finding the frequencies and percentages of the research sample, the results were as follows: 1.

Mathematics department students’ preference for the Visual learning style (V) by (41.7%), then the Reading-writing style (R) by (29%), then the Kinesthetic learning style (K) by (18.3%) and finally the Auditory learning style (A) by (11%).

There is a statistically significant correlation between the visual learning style (V) and the students' mathematical achievement at the level of significance (α = 0.05).
