Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the use of language games in developing oral expression among students with slow learning.

Against this goal, the researcher formulated the following hypotheses: 1 - There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) in the mean differences in the scores of the post scale for the pupils of the experimental group in which language games were used and the pupils of the control group who studied in the usual way in the post test.

2- There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) in the mean differences in the post-test scores of the experimental group students who were taught according to language games and the pre-test in the subject of oral expression.

The current research is limited to students with slow learning in government schools affiliated to the Rusafa First Directorate of Education in the city of Baghdad for the academic year 2020-2021 and for the first semester.

The number of the sample was (20) students from slow learners, (10) students in the experimental group and (10) students in the control group after using the Mann and Tenney test for independent samples and the Wilcoxon test for two related samples that showed the results.

There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the students of the two research groups and in favor of the experimental group.

2.

There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental group students in the pre-application of the oral expression test and between their average scores in the post-test in favor of the post-test.
