Directing the country’s monetary policy is entrusted to the institutions of the central bank and the public treasury.

among the justifications that led to the emergence of central banks are the two elements of financing state expenditures (lending) and protecting the national currency (value stability), and it developed with the monetary and banking economic variables until it stabilized with the monetary issuance and later created a mission the implementation of monetary policy, and on the other hand, the development of the public treasury was linked to the changes that Algeria has known since independence to the present day, as well as the patterns of the relationship between it and the central bank in the various amendments to the monetary and loan law, the objectives of economic policy and the pattern of organizing the economy.

the research aims to monitor the relationship between the central bank and the public treasury, and a conclusion was reached that keenness to devote independence is an indicator of economic growth, but this requires taking into account the indicators of lack of independence referred to in the subject, as well as the need to distance monetary policy officials from politics, which it is a double-edged sword that is not easy to achieve.
