The novel is transformed into a film in two ways a full novel to a film or just a section of it.

The first way sometimes succeeds and sometimes the second way does not, and in the second a little segment may be taken without reference to the source.

This study explains the two ways of adaptation of a novel in films.

The first way is safer as it guarantees the rights of the author and ensures the text not being betrayed, so it does not shock the audience of the novel, yet limits the film’s director freedom.
