We have tried in this article to discern the interrelationship between the act of the narration - especially since the biography of the Adwani is originally an oral narrative and then has been written later, and the weight of memory and its relation to the social status of individuals and families in Tunisia during the 17th century.

It has been evident for us the important role of the memory in the process of weaving the social status of individuals and families.

The family of Awlad Alhadef has counted on material wealth, a vast network of connections and a symbolic capital that has been established and rooted more by the use of memory in narrative.

The act of narration in the history of Al Adwani is intertwined with the narration and the Quranic narratives to build the social status of the individual and the family.
