This article aims to elucidate the artistic characteristics that Hicham Mechbal's novel "BIT ENNAR" employs in building its characters in a medium characterized by loss and human's horizon disappearance.

It also attempts to highlight the dominance of anxiety over the novel's events, and its pictorial energy harmonious with the individual's fate in a context full of frustration and misery.

In order to achieve these two purposes, the author used a rhetorical methodology that is open on the context of text's emergence and formation.
