Abstract EN

The objective of this study is to identify the relationship between the professional identity of physical education and sports teachers and their teaching practices in the three aspects (planning, interactive and evaluation phase).

we relied on a quantitative study by means of an electronic questionnaire distributed to a sample of 64 teachers of physical education and sports of middle and secondary levels.

we have found that the vast majority are male teachers under the age of 40 and with less than 10 years of experience.

in addition, the professional identity of teachers was marked by the emergence of 03 profiles (educator, animator and to a lesser extent trainer, and that the level of education is not a variable affecting professional identity.

the relationship between professional identity and teaching practices did not appear in most practices except for participation with his students in the game and competition for the coach and the animator, as well as being able to manage the relationship with unruly students in the class and take into account the physical and morphological aspects in the process of evaluation by the teacher educator.
