The present paper endeavors to treat an important topic in the fields of international relations represented in the phenomenon of illegal migration towards the European countries.

This phenomenon recently becomes a frightening obsession threatening the countries' security and safety, especially European ones which have been experiencing a large flow of illegal migrants who escape from the miserable conditions inside their homelands.

Due to the expansion of the phenomenon, it has been considered as a threat to European security, pushing them to adopt a set of mechanisms to confront the phenomenon.
