Abstract EN

The study aims at identifying the components of university environment on knowledge sharing processes and their relationship at the private universities in Jordan.

The researcher has chosen a purposive sample made of all the faculty members of 3 privet universities included (611) faculty members, among which (267) members of the humanitarian specialties and (344) members of the scientific specialties, the researcher used the correlative descriptive method in this study.

For data collection, the researcher has developed a questionnaire composed of two sections; one is for the university environment and the other is for knowledge sharing, based on the theoretical literature and the global transformations in the areas of privatization and knowledge explosion.

The results showed a high level in the availability of the elements of the university environment and the practice of knowledge sharing processes.

The results also showed a positive statistically significant effect for the university environment on knowledge sharing processes.

In the light of these results, the researcher presented a number of related recommendations, such as; development of the professional competencies of faculty members through continuous training of the latest knowledge and technical fields.
