This study deals with disability and its representation in international cinema as well as its blossoming, starting with the negative presence of people with special needs moving on to their acceptance in accordance with human culture development.

to meet the study objectives, two movies have been selected.

“the miracle maker” movie revolves around the role of an unconscious family in increasing forms of disability in the disabled.

in fact, it is not the disability that prevents the person from having a normal life, but mainly the environment into which they live that contributes to the penetration of the disability and its control over the life of the disabled and prevents him from any development while awareness contributes effectively to reducing the problem.

another important matter this study seeks to light up is related to the correlation between image and lightning in ‘black’ movie.

it can be said that it is one of the most influential movies in which important issues about disability are being metaphorically visualized through light and shadows
