Abstract EN

This study dealt with the role of small projects in alleviating poverty in Sudan as a local case study Shendi.

The study aimed to identify poverty and its concept, its causes, effects and methods of treatment in Sudan, identifying small projects and their types and advantages in Sudan, and showing the impact of small projects in alleviating poverty in Sudan.

The importance of the study was represented in the scientific addition to it in the field of economic development studies, by collecting facts and data on small projects and microfinance programs, analyzing them and producing scientific results, enabling research bodies and scientific centers specialized in developing small projects.

The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach to interpret and analyze the impact of small projects in reducing poverty through a questionnaire and using the statistical package (SPSS) program.

The study found the most important results, the most important of which is that small projects in Shendi locality worked to alleviate poverty, as well as small projects in Shendi locality that worked to solve the problem of unemployment and employment of graduates.
