The Algerian legislator granted the proprietor of the mark, in addition to the criminal protection, the right to civil protection, so that any person who infringed his right to the mark and all persons affected by the trademark infringement, including the consumer may bring an action for damages based on unfair competition, in order to obtain compensation for damages caused by imitation or resemblance of the mark, we note that this type of protection does not require registration of the trademark.
