Abstract EN

This research investigates the concept of school dropout in the rural areas of KashamAlgirbah and Wad Elheliolocalitites.The school dropout is considered the most serious problem that threatens the ed-curational process in these two localities.

Many combined factors are behing this phenomenon.

The economic factor is considered to have the strongest impact.

The Study discusses the concept of basic Edu-cation and its importance and aims as well as the concept of school dropout and its types, causes and drawbacks.

A questionnaire was de-signed to elicit data from the pupils guradians both of school dropout and the regular ones to identify the size of school dropout.

The Study has found that the low income of the families is behind school dropout as they need the help of their sons to earn then live hood.
