Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the effectiveness of a training program utilizing assistive technology to develop the skills for people with Intellectual Disability.

This sample of this study consisted of thirty Students being distributed equally between females and males.

The study was conducted in one of the special private centers for rehabilitating Students Intellectual Disability in Cairo.

In order to achieve the study goals, an experimental approach was applied and developed the study variables that illustrate the independence skills scale for people within tellectual Disability.

The results of the Study indicated that there were significant differences between the averages of the two Study groups on the scale of independence skills in favor of the experimental group.

While there were no significant differences in the averages on the scale of independence skills based on the gender variables.

The Study highlighted several recommendations most importantly the necessity of using assistive technology to develop the independent skills of people Intellectual Disability.
