Abstract EN

The paper addressed the steps that led to the independence of Sudan and contains three axes-The first axis :The stance of Egypt and Britain towards Sovereignty over Sudan which Egypt was demandingit in the negotiation with Britain and it implied its stance in the year 1951 after the failure of the negotiations with the British side to announce King Farouk the first king of Egypt and Sudanand abolishing the two agreements of 1899 and 1936 until the advent of the revolution of 23 July which abandoned the principle of dominion over Sudan .The second axis: The self governance agreement which explains the steps taken by Egypt after the revolution of 23 July 1952 for unifying the Sudanese people by signing the agreements of 10 July 1953 for facing Britain in the negotiations published in the agreement of 12 February 1953 for self-determination of Sudan which resulted in offering Sudan its full independence and announcing the unity with Egypt according to the resultof the referendum on unity .The Third axis: touches on the steps of the tasks of transitional government which were represented in Sudanization, clearance and self determination and the Prime Miniver Ismail Al Azhari selected the principle of total independence and canceled the principle of unity with Egypt due to many factors including relieving brigadier Mohamed Najib from governance in Egypt and the meddling of Salah Salim in the internal affairs of Sudan in addition to the pressure of the two Makers on Almirghani and Abdul Rahman Al mahadi through the meeting of the two Makers Ali and Ismail Al Azhari which ended the transitional period byending the unity and declaring independence from within the Parliament on 19 December 1955 andafter thatraising high the flag of Sudan on the firstof January of the year 1956.
