Abstract EN

The study dealt with the stance of the international community represented by the United Nations and the countries with international and regional influence on the third Indo-Paki&ani war that occurred in 1391 AH / 1971 AD, and led to an increase in divergence and dissonance between India and Pakistan.Objectives of the study: Review of the reasons that led to the outbreak of war for the third time between India and Pakistan.

Analyzing the international and regional reactions to the war between the two parts of Pakistan, in addition to analyzing their responses after it developed into a war between two sister countries.

Standing on the role of the international community in topping the war between India and Pakistan.

The importance of studying: The importance of the study lies in the fact that it deals with an internal political problem between the two parts of Pakistan that has developed into a regional and international problem between India and Pakistan.

The importance of the study also stems from its focus on the stance of the international community, which has become anxious whenever the tension between the two countries escalates, leading to a military confrontation between them.

The study is also interested in clarifying the extent of the influence of the international community on the cessation or continuation of the war between India and Pakistan.

Study Methodology:The study methodology is based on following the rules of the historical research method based on collecting, criticizing and analyzing scientific material to reach sound scientific results.

Given the nature of the study, the researcher will follow the historical analysis method in order to analyze the dances of countries and international organizations regarding the war.The study reached important results as follows: The East Pakistan crisis led to regional repercussions as a result of millions of refugees taking refuge in India, which opened the way for India to interfere in Pakistan’s internal affairs.The international community’s attitudes toward the war varied, according to its circumstances, interests, and bilateral relations, whether with India or Pakistan.

It should be noted that this discrepancy and contradiction in the attitudes of the international community towards the third Indo-Pakistani war could in itself be a reason for the continuation of the dispute between India and Pakistan.
