Abstract EN

This study dealt with the factors affecting the estimation of the function of sugar consumption in Sudan during the period (2002-2020).

The study aimed to shed light on sugar consumption and determine the factors that affect it and the degree of their impact.

Building econometrics model that shows the moS important factors affecting sugar consumption in Sudan.

The study followed the historical method in collecting data and information related to the phenomenon under study.

Also, the descriptive statistical approach and the standard analysis of the sugar consumption function were used to measure the relationship between the variables using the statistical package (Eviews-9.5).

The study reached results, the most important of which is that the increase in the produced quantity of sugar led to an increase in sugar consumption during the study period.

The increase in disposable income led to an increase in sugar consumption in Sudan during the study period.

In light of the results of the study, several recommendations were recommended, the moS important of which are.

Work to increase sugar production in Sudan to cover the increasing consumption rate and achieve selfsufficiency, and work to improve the level of income, especially in light of the global rise in food commodity prices as it reflects on the standard of living of families.
