The subject of the study dealt with the field of education technology through the importanceof applying e-learning in developing the professional performance of secondary school teachers in JabalAwliya, Khartoum State 2018-2021 Information and communication technology has become a means of life, not tools of well-being restricted to a specific field or social elite.

Information and communication technology has also become a means of communication and an indispensable tool in an open world depending on competitiveness as a criterion for progress and prosperity.

The researcher has noticed, through his experience in the field of education and from his personal base, that the development of the professional performance of secondary school teachers is the basis for advancement and that any development must be centered on the teacher’s relationships with modern technological means.

Therefore, the problem of study lies in trying to take advantage of information and communications technology in developing the process of education technology, and the problem of study can be summarized in the following main que&ion: What is the importance of applying e-learning in developing the professional performance of secondary school teachers in, JabalAwliya locality, Khartoum State ? This study also derives its importance from the importance of the topic it addressed and the relative scarcity of researches and Judies in the field of education technology.

Also the study contributes to clarifying the concept and requirements of applying e-learning in the light of comprehensive quality concepts by showing its importance.

The study aimed to identify the degree of importance of applying e-learning in developing professional perfor-mance from the point of view of secondary school teachers, as well as to define the requirements of e-learning and raise the awareness of secondary school teachers in the locality of JabalAwliya in terms of the importance of applying e-learning The study has adopted the descriptive analytical method.

Meanwhile, the study has come up with a number of findings, the most important of which, are: e-learning has requirements and there are statistically significant differences between students ’desire for e-learning and that e-learning helps in developing professional performance quickly, as it increases the ability of Students and there are some obstacles that prevents the application of e-learning in developing the professional performance of secondary school teachers, including the Ministry is not interested in the e-learning system, the instability of the Internet and not availability of Internet in some areas of the country.

The study recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which are the necessity of using e-learning in schools and providing educational programs in schools.

The electronic media must be present in schools, and it also recommended the qualification of secondary school teachers providing training courses during service.
