The taboo is a type of semantic change that occurs in the Arabic vocabulary in some of its uses to achieve specific linguistic purposes, and it is a figurative use that occurs when the Arab transfers the word from its original meaning to another figurative meaning.

As for its importance in linguistic use in achieving the linguistic, psychological and social dimension of language speakers, the Almighty God used it in the Great Qur’an.

The study came under the title: The Phenomenon of taboo in Colloquial Arabic Dialects in Sudan (An Analytical Study).

The importance of this study lies in clarifying the concept of Insensitivity and its linguistic importance.

It is also an attempt to study the Arabic dialects in Sudan and the extent to which they are related to Standard Arabic and to reveal the extent to which the community is connected to the Arabic linguistic heritage.

In its use of dialect and the degree to which it retains those links.

The study is also an attempt to review the origins of the vocabulary used in Sudanese Arabic dialects and link them to their eloquent roots.

This study aims to know the Arabic dialects in Sudan and the extent of their vocabulary with their linguistic origin in the classical Arabic language, with clarification of any deviation that occurred in them through use within the framework of studying the phenomenon of taboo.

It also aims to introduce the phenomenon of taboo in the Arabic language, which may be absent from the minds of many.

In writing this study, the researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach.

Results: The Sudanese slang adhered to the method of taboo the linguistic custom that the Arabs were accustomed to in their speech and language.

It is also a means of the richness of the Arabic language and one of the pillars of its linguistic lexicon if people use it well.
