Abstract EN

This study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a cognitive- behavioral treatment program for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder for refugees in the state of South Sudan in the state of Khartoum, and to know the differences in the effectiveness of the program between the two groups in the tribal and remote measurements due to some other variables.

To achieve these goals, the study followed the experimental method of one group for a pre and post measurement, as well as a post-traumatic stress disorder scale, authored by Duveston, for a sample that consisted of (40) a random sample, the scale was applied to (20), as an intentional sample on which the program was applied.

The program is based on (10) treatment sessions spanning six months.

The results showed that the cognitive behavioral program is effective in treating post-traumatic stress disorder, while there are no significant differences due to the variable of social status and educational level.
