Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the reality of the informal economy in the Algerian economy.

For this reason, we followed the descriptive analytical approach.

For this we have started with the concept of the informal economy, its characteristics, its causes.

And on the other aspect, we gave the methods of measurement of the informal economy, the fields of the informal economy in AlgeriaAnd this study focused on the efforts of the Algerian government to eradicate the informal economy, and the Algerian government's programs to suppress parallel markets.

The study concluded that the informal economy remains a safe haven for unemployed youth in the ence of long-term productive investments that open up permanent jobs and provide scarce goods and services in markets despite the efforts by thestate to eliminate this phenomenon.
