Abstract EN

This study deals with Umar bin Abdul Aziz's interest in the mosques of Medina during his tenure over Medina (87-93 AH / 706-712 AD ) .

Caliph Al-Walid bin Abdul- Malik directed him to renew the building of the Prophet’s Mosque and pumped in exchange for that huge money and attracted workers and engineers from the Romans and Copts, and addressed the Byzantine Emperor Justinian II, who interacted with the message of Caliph Al-Walid bin Abdul-Malik and sent money, workers and some building materials, then It seemed to Al-Walid to build all the places in which the Prophet -Allah's peace be upon him- prayed, then the governor ordered Umar bin Abdulaziz to do this task and follow the places of the Prophet’s prayer, so he built it with materials of engraved and matching stones, and plaster and he used mosaics, marble, and teak, and he directly supervised the construction process, and in this study we reached a number of mosques that were proven to be from the building of Umar bin Abdulaziz, and this study concluded with some results and recommendations, and one of the most important recommendations is to preserve the ancient Islamic monuments, and protecting them from extinction, placing electronic gates on them and renovating them, and placing instructional boards on them with all the information that indicates these valuable effects in several languages, and that by specialists in history and translation.
