Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify the reality of the use of modern methods and techniques in teaching Arabic in institutes of fine arts in Baghdad, and to achieve the goals of the study a questionnaire consisting of three axes was designed to identify the reality, importance and difficulties of using modern methods and techniques in teaching the Arabic language, and was applied to an author sample Of (36) male and female teachers in the fine arts institutes in the city of Baghdad, and the study reached the following results: -All members of the research sample realize the importance of using modern educational techniques and means in teaching the Arabic language, and point to their positive trend towards their use of modern methods and techniques in teaching the Arabic language.

The obstacles facing the use of educational techniques and means can be summarized in the following points: Weak training and qualification of teachers on the use of teaching aids.

•The high cost of production and purchase of educational aids and modern technologies.

•The absence of a special guide for educational aids that helps the teacher.

-All difficulties are not related to the teacher himself, but rather to factors beyond his control.

-There are no statistically significant differences in teachers ’awareness of the importance of using educational methods and the difficulties they encounter according to the variable of teaching years, educational qualification, and gender.
