تأثير استيراد القمح على الأمن الغذائي في السودان في الفترة (2000-2020 م)‎

Abstract EN

This paper is an analytical study; it dealt with the effect of importing wheat in food security in Sudan through changing the type of food and food culture in last two decades.

The importance of the study comes in clarifying the importance of relying on local production in achieving food security and not being affected by the imported food culture.

the study aim to participate in spread the culture of depend on local product consumption.

The study has used data of the Central Bureau of statistics concerns the imports from 20002020-, in addition to information derived from observation and irregular interview.

The study adopted the descriptive analytical method, and data analyzed using the statistical package for social science (spss).

The study reached many results, the most important of them is: the chain negative effects on economic and Sudanese community as a result of importing wheat under the absence of exports which keep the balance of payments, and these effects appear as continuous circle start by national currency devaluation to food insecurity.
